Toronto and Montreal: Chris Robinson Travel Show and Canadian Winter Magazine have teamed up to cross-promote winter travel and leisure in Canada this season via their respective media outlets:
• Chris Robinson Travel Show, the most popular travel shows on radio in Canada
• Canadian Winter Magazine, the only consumer magazine focused entirely on Canada’s winter season
“It’s a perfect marriage,” said Travel Show founder and host, Chris Robinson. “By working with Canadian Winter, we can leverage some of the winter-specific information within the magazine. We always want great Canadian content on the shows, and there’s no better season to have it than in winter when Canada literally sparkles.”
The Travel Show is scheduled to feature several key Canadian winter destinations throughout fall and winter on its Toronto- and Montreal-broadcasted shows. Canadian Winter will be highlighting many of the same destinations in its nationally distributed
2008 issue.
“People use words like synergy, but we think it's just a really good idea,” says Canadian Winter publisher Jim McRae. “Chris is an enthusiastic supporter of Canadian travel, and has a warm spot in his heart for winter. Add to the mix that he’s one of the most respected travel personalities in Canada and the relationship is a great benefit to us and to our readers.”
The Chris Robinson Travel Show winter lineup will be published in the new issue of Canadian Winter — along with a guest column by Chris Robinson himself — set to come off the presses at the end of October. Show listeners will be reminded of newsstands sales of Canadian Winter in Toronto and Montreal during broadcasts. The two will also share Web site links.
